Turn tube geometry into production-ready data in your browser.
MyDural converts STEP and XYZ data into YBC/LRA programs, supports manual tube programming with a live 3D view, exports programmed parts as 3D STEP files and generates technical PDFs. The complete toolset runs in a browser and does not require a machine connection.

Move from CAD geometry to machine data, then turn verified programs back into 3D models.
MyDural reduces repetitive coordinate work by keeping the numerical program and tube model visible together. YBC and LRA conventions are presented according to the selected machine workflow.
STEP → YBC/LRA
For compatible tube geometry, extract the centerline and generate bend rows for review.
XYZ → YBC/LRA
Convert Cartesian coordinates and radius data into straight length, rotation and bend-angle values.
YBC/LRA → 3D STEP
Create a reusable 3D CAD model from programmed straight lengths, rotations, angles and radii.
LRA → Live 3D
Enter bend rows manually and see the tube geometry update immediately in the browser.
Start with the available data and create the format required for the next stage.
| Starting point | MyDural output | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 3D STEP tube model | Centerline + YBC/LRA + live 3D | Prepare machine data from customer or design CAD geometry. |
| XYZ coordinate list | YBC/LRA + 3D model + STEP export | Convert inspection, design or legacy coordinate data into a bending program. |
| Existing YBC/LRA program | Live 3D model + 3D STEP file | Recreate the finished geometry for CAD work or assembly review. |
| Manual bend sequence | YBC/LRA table + live 3D | Build a part when no CAD model or coordinate file is available. |
| Verified program | Technical PDF drawing | Produce a clear document for the shop floor, quality records or customer approval. |
Five clear steps from source data to a documented handover.
Conversion, visual verification and documentation remain part of one browser-based workflow.
Upload or enter the source data
Import STEP or XYZ data, or enter YBC/LRA values manually.
Generate the bend program
Create straight length, rotation, bend angle and CLR data.
Check the part in live 3D
Verify the bend sequence, direction and overall geometry.
Confirm the process limits
Review torque, machine capacity and bend-die requirements.
Export STEP or PDF
Pass machine data, 3D CAD geometry or technical documentation to the next stage.
Create a useful shop-floor document without rebuilding the part in CAD.
Once the program has been reviewed, MyDural combines the tube geometry and production data in a technical PDF for the operator, quality records or customer approval.
- Highlighted 3D isometric view of the part
- Technical projections with millimeter dimensions
- XYZ coordinate and YBC/LRA program tables
- Part code, production date and tube dimensions
- Total stock length and title-block information

Check whether the part is practical before it reaches the machine.
Built-in engineering calculations support quotation, tooling selection and capacity decisions early in the workflow.
Torque and machine-capacity check
Estimate the bending torque required for the part and compare it with the selected machine’s capacity while preparing the program.
- Inputs
- Material, diameter, wall, CLR
- Output
- Required bending torque / capacity review
Bend-die calculation
Review the tooling geometry required for the selected tube size and bend radius before releasing the job.
- Inputs
- Tube diameter and bend radius
- Output
- Relevant bend-die dimensions

Common questions about MyDural Engineering Tools.
Do I need to connect a tube bending machine?
No. MyDural S Engineering Tools runs independently in a browser. A machine connection is only required for the live production, OEE and maintenance functions available with MyDural SM and SM+.
Can MyDural convert a STEP file into YBC or LRA?
Yes. For compatible tube geometry, MyDural extracts the centerline, identifies the bends and generates YBC/LRA rows for review in a live 3D environment.
Can I convert XYZ coordinates into a bending program?
Yes. Enter the X, Y and Z coordinates together with the required radius data, and MyDural calculates the corresponding YBC/LRA values and 3D geometry.
Can MyDural create a 3D STEP file from YBC or LRA data?
Yes. Existing or manually entered bend data can be converted into a 3D STEP model for further CAD work, assembly review or customer approval.
What is included in the technical PDF?
The PDF can include a 3D isometric model, technical views, dimensions, XYZ and YBC/LRA tables, part identification, tube dimensions, production date and total stock length.
Can the tools confirm whether a machine can bend the part?
The torque and capacity tools provide an engineering estimate based on material, diameter, wall thickness and CLR. Final feasibility also depends on tooling, material condition, part geometry, machine setup and application-specific limits.
Does the exported program still need engineering review?
Yes. Conversion reduces manual calculation, but it does not replace validation. Source geometry, bend direction, tooling, material, springback and the target machine configuration should all be checked before production.
Can I use the platform on a tablet or phone?
Yes. MyDural is browser-based and can be accessed from a computer, tablet or phone, subject to account permissions and browser compatibility.
