Servo-controlled rotation
The machine handles precise angular positioning between bends and hits the same angle every time, so complex multi-plane parts come out consistent.

Servo-controlled rotation for 3D bends, mandrel support and NC control—everything you need to produce complex bent tubes without paying CNC prices.
You need 3D bending capability but a full CNC pipe bending machine isn't in the budget. That's exactly why we designed the DuralBend Atlas BR series: semi-automatic tube bending machines that give you servo-controlled rotation for 3D bends, mandrel support and NC control.
The Atlas BR sits right between our standard hydraulic Atlas B range and our full CNC machines. You get more than a basic pipe bender, but you don't need to justify a CNC investment—for a lot of workshops, that's the sweet spot.
The machine handles precise angular positioning between bends and hits the same angle every time, so complex multi-plane parts come out consistent.
Same heavy frame, DDT direct gear transmission, hydraulic clamp and pressure dies, mandrel extraction and wiper die block—tooling is interchangeable with the Atlas B.
Adjustable flip stops and 999-program memory recall multi-plane sequences identically, part after part.
Fast part-family changeover, so the setup time the servo axis saves you doesn't get lost at the tool change.

On a standard hydraulic bender the operator rotates the tube manually between bends; on full CNC everything is automatic. The Atlas BR sits between the two—servo-controlled rotation handles the precise angular positioning, while the operator still feeds the tube and initiates each cycle. A good balance of automation and cost.
This matters because 3D bending accuracy depends almost entirely on rotation precision. With servo rotation the machine hits the same angle every time, so even complex multi-plane geometries come out right. It's the difference between a machine that can bend a handrail and one that can bend an exhaust manifold.
Full per-model data is in the Models & technical data section below.

The Atlas BR runs on NC control—enough programmability to recall multi-plane sequences reliably, without the complexity of a full CNC system.
Direct programming of bend angles and servo rotation values, with automatic and manual operating modes.
Store multi-plane bending sequences and recall them identically for repeat production.
Full control over tube positioning so every tube starts in a known position for consistent geometry.
Change part families fast, keeping the machine productive between jobs.

If all your bends are in the same plane, the standard Atlas B hydraulic bender will do. But the moment you need bends in multiple planes on the same tube, servo rotation becomes essential—exhaust manifolds, handrail systems, frame structures, roll cages, anything where the tube changes direction in 3D space.
Customers also upgrade from a manual mandrel bender when rejection rates get too high: manual rotation is fine for simple parts, but once geometry gets complex the consistency isn't there. For the price difference over a standard Atlas B, the servo rotation pays for itself quickly in reduced scrap and faster setup. Want the feed automated as well? That's the Atlas BRF.

Core electrical, motion and hydraulic components are selected from established global manufacturers, including Schneider Electric, Yaskawa, Festo, Atos, INA, SICK, Wittenstein and Rossi.

The Atlas BR range covers tube diameters from Ø32 mm through Ø114 mm across eight models. Every model bends up to 190° with mandrel, wiper die and pressure die as standard—and every model has the servo rotation axis.
