Bora B1 Pipe Chamfering Machines

When you only need one end finished.

Not every shop needs double-side chamfering. If you're only finishing one end of the tube—or doing different operations on each end at different stages—a single-side pipe chamfering machine is the simpler, more economical solution. The DuralBend Bora B1 does inside chamfering, outside chamfering and facing on one end per cycle.

Four models cover tube diameters from Ø20 mm up to Ø140 mm. The newest, the B1-140, extends the range into territory that most single-side chamfering machines on the market do not reach.

Why the Bora B1

Faces the tube end square, cuts the inside chamfer and cuts the outside chamfer in a single setup and handling step.

Three Operations in a Single Setup

The B1 isn't only a chamfering machine. In the same clamp-up it faces the tube end square, cuts the inside chamfer and cuts the outside chamfer—three operations, one setup, one handling step. A shop that previously ran tube ends across a face mill and then a separate chamfering station removes an entire operation, an entire transfer and an entire chance to scratch or mis-position the part.

Where it sits in the line is straightforward: tubes are cut to length first, then transferred to the B1 for end finishing before bending or welding. Cleanly faced and chamfered ends make mandrel insertion easier on the bending machine and give better weld preparation afterwards.

The B1 is PLC controlled with a touchscreen—straightforward operation, with speeds you set to suit the material.

Two-Step Speed

A fast approach then an adjustable chamfering speed for the finish, so cycle time and surface quality are both under control.

Per-Material Spindle Speed

Slower for stainless, faster for aluminium. Optional inverter control gives stepless adjustment straight from the touchscreen instead of changing pulleys.

Single side vs double side

Compact, Economical, One End at a Time

The Bora B1 single-side machines cost less than the B2 double-side models and they're more compact. If you only need one end chamfered—or your production flow chamfers each end at different stages—the B1 makes more sense.

If you always need both ends done in one cycle, the Bora B2 is the machine. We can also specify the whole cell—cutting equipment through to end finishing—rather than just the chamfering machine on its own.
